An innovation ecosystem backed by local government
The City of Sacramento oversees the Sacramento Urban Technology Lab, a syndicate of government, academic and private sector players committed to transforming Sacramento into a “living laboratory” for entrepreneurs, advanced technology businesses and academic institutions to test, develop and scale their products. The City also manages the Rapid Acceleration, Innovation, and Leadership in Sacramento (RAILS) program, which offers up to $1 million in grants annually to support the development of Sacramento’s entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem.
