President & CEO

Deborah K. Maus, CAE joined Associated Builders and Contractors’ Northern California Chapter as its President & CEO in March of 2022 representing construction firms specializing in the commercial and industrial sectors that employ over 20,000 skilled and trained Northern California workers from Fresno to the Oregon border.  Previously she was the Executive Vice President of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association of California (PHCC of California).  

ABC NorCal offers a variety of state-and federally-registered apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship and training programs and represents the construction industry in legislative and regulatory matters.  Debbie is dedicated to upholding the free enterprise philosophy and advancing safety and education for the construction industry and opportunities for entry by creating career and advancement pathways and educating today’s youth on the benefits of careers in construction.

Debbie has been a Certified Association Executive since 2003 and has 30 years of organizational leadership, management and administration experience.  She has worked with multi-disciplinary teams within nonprofit, governmental and private organizations in the agriculture, transportation, air quality and construction trade industries.  Maus is the 4th generation raised on her family’s livestock ranch in Sonoma County.  She and her husband have lived in the greater Sacramento area since meeting as students at UC Davis, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in Rhetoric & Communications and Economics.
