TeamCalifornia Announces 7th Annual Meet the Consultants Forum Coming to Sacramento Region November 6 , 2019
The Greater Sacramento Economic Council will be the 2019 host of TeamCalifornia’s 7th Annual Meet the Consultants (MTC) Forum featuring multiple industry site location consultants and corporate real estate executives. The Forum will take place November 6, 2019 at home of the 2019 Triple A National Champions the Sacramento River Cats in West Sacramento.
The purpose of the Annual MTC Forum is to showcase specific California regions to site selectors making decisions about business investments in California and hear their experiences. Attendees will hear the latest trends in the site selection industry and network with decision makers. Sponsors will also attend a private California Only meeting and dinner with consultants and representatives from the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development.
Elected officials, city and regional business leaders, real estate and utility representatives, developers and businesses are invited to attend. The program includes an interactive panel, consultant presentations and round table discussions with consultants. Topics include workforce development strategies, high-tech movement in and out of California, aviation retail and rural development as well as FDI.
In 2010, TeamCalifornia Board of Directors created the MTC Forum as a California Only product. “We got tired of attending similar Forums in other states, so we embarked on our own Forum in California, for California,” stated TeamCalifornia President Mather Kearney, SMUD Economic Development & Partnerships manager. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. “Our mission is to promote California and to invite decision makers to consider California for location and expansion” Kearney added.
Each year the exclusive MTC Forum is sponsored by a different region in California and discussion focuses on California’s competitiveness in the global marketplace. “We are proud to partner with TeamCalifornia and host this year’s Meet the Consultants Forum, which gives us the unique opportunity to highlight Greater Sacramento and California as a great place to do business” stated GSEC Executive Vice President, Daniele Casey.
“We limit attendance to under 80 attendees so they can develop meaningful connections and learn from the experiences of the consultants,” said Kearney. “We work cooperatively with all the economic development organizations and the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development to accomplish this important work to promote California’s message.”
TeamCalifornia is the state’s lead marketing and site location organization. Members include economic development representatives and community leaders throughout the state.

Greater Sacramento Economic Council (GSEC) was awarded one Gold Rank and two Bronze Ranks in the 2021 Excellence in Economic Development awards. GSEC won two awards related to its #NextOutWest campaign: a Gold Rank in the category of Digital Media for the multichannel marketing and PR campaign and a Bronze Rank in the category of Multimedia/Video Promotion for its campaign video. Finally, the organization was awarded a Bronze Rank in the category of Talent Development and Retention for its Digital Upskill Sacramento program. The honors were presented today at an awards ceremony during the IEDC Annual Conference.
