Greater Sacramento Economic Council takes center stage with top honors at IEDC

GSEC earns prestigious #3 Economic Development Organization award and a Gold 、ward for its 2023 Life Sciences Report, showcasing regional innovation and growth

GSEC has been named the #3 Economic Development Organization (EDO) for the third year in a row, marking a prestigious honor that underscores its impact on economic growth and innovation. Additionally, GSEC received the Gold Award for Excellence in Economic Development in the Print Brochure category for its 2023 Life Sciences Report, which was also a nominee for Best in Show.

In addition to this significant accolade, GSEC’s 2023 Life Sciences Report was among fourteen projects nominated for Best in Show at IEDC’s Excellence in Economic Development Awards. This report, a collaboration with CBRE そして Colliers, highlights the region’s strategic life science assets, including a thriving talent pool, robust research institutions and a favorable business climate. It details key sectors such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and agri-food tech, providing insights into industry trends and investment opportunities.
