Megan Torres

Research Analyst

Megan serves as a Research Analyst for the Greater Sacramento Economic Council.

She has a background in consulting and economic analysis. While working in Boston conducting in-house research and data analysis for a consulting firm, Megan obtained her Master of Science in Commerce and Economic Development from Northeastern University. During her studies, she had a concentration in data analytics and econometrics.

Megan is a passionate economist with special interests in gender and education. Previous work includes developing a forecasting model that can predict primary school enrollment rates using a selection of economic factors and developing a public markets investment database for a gender-focused impact investment firm.

In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, reading and is an avid fan of USA Swimming and the Boston Bruins.
