Future Technologies as Economic Drivers

We are in a time where the future seems more threatening, chaotic and unpredictable than perhaps ever before. Uncertainty has now become a barrier to bold action; a lack of a vision of what might be coming pushes our community and region to be the victims of disruption instead activist shaping that future; a reluctance to anticipate hinders us from optimistic goals and visions and efforts.
Yet, there are ways to identify trends that will define Sacramento’s future—and incorporate them into our shared strategic responses creating economic prosperity. Technological innovation will certainly drive the emergence of “Next-Generation Sacramento” in the Post-COVID world.
Moderator: Jay Day (Verizon)
